What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
This is the new Ruger LCP Max with the Magpul collaboration and it is awesome.
It didn't sting as much as I remember, but I definitely feel more recoil in this one than the other one.
Definitely. You just don't get as good a purchase on that grip compared to the new one.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
Owners of the Ruger LCP Max point to the 10-round capacity as the main upgrade over earlier LCP variants, fitting meaningfully more rounds in the same compact envelope. The black nitride slide finish holds up well over regular carry use. Most owners report solid reliability with standard .380 ACP loads.
The LCP Max is narrow and light, which makes it easy to pocket carry, though the small grip can make extended shooting sessions uncomfortable for those with larger hands. Recoil is noticeable for a .380 given the light weight of the frame. The trigger is acceptable for a carry pistol, though not a standout.
The no-safety configuration is a deliberate design choice that some owners prefer for a dedicated carry gun; others would prefer a manual safety option. The LCP Max fits a clear niche as a deep-concealment backup or primary carry pistol, and most owners are satisfied with the trade-offs that come with that brief.

This little Ruger made me want to spend more time shooting. My group and I had a blast with it, and I went through the entire 500 rounds I had on hand during our outing.
It is so enjoyable that I keep wanting more range time.
