Detailed Features
The fiber optic front sight pairs with an adjustable rear for a clean sight picture across different lighting. At 1.56 lbs the pistol handles well during extended range sessions without fatigue. The checkered black grip follows the 1911 angle, which many shooters find natural. One push of the button on the back of the frame releases the mainspring housing and allows the action to open completely for cleaning, a significant improvement over earlier Mark series disassembly.
The threaded barrel (1/2"-28) makes suppressor mounting straightforward. The optic-ready slide accepts RMS/SMS-compatible red dots without machining.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
This is push and pull that's it I mean pull the bolt out and that's all you have to do really for routine maintenance it is just an awesome awesome setup very very quick and intuitive.
That one thing I don't like though is that the magazine compatibility is uh non-existent from the markv to the Mark iiii or the 2245 you know Mark iiii series they've got a different base plate on them.
Trigger's not bad from the factory but definitely you know you could definitely upgrade it and probably get a little bit tighter groupings and such.
I will say that the safety kind of gets in the way of my grip style cuz I like to get kind of a high grip on there in my hand size.
The biggest thing to me is magazine compatibility I'm not really sure why you know the magazines aren't compatible with the old style.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
Owners of the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite speak well of the lightweight feel and accuracy for target shooting and plinking. The combination of fiber optic sights and the optics-ready slide gets regular praise from people who want a more precise .22 pistol without spending a lot per round.
The suppressor-ready barrel is a frequently cited selling point. Owners who run suppressors report the attachment is clean and the gun functions reliably with subsonic loads.
The Mark IV's one-button disassembly is often mentioned positively as a major improvement over the older Mark series. Some owners still find reassembly takes practice, and a few have needed to look up a video the first time.
The 10-round magazine capacity is adequate for most range use but comes up as a minor gripe. Overall, the sentiment is positive. It is a well-regarded .22 that does what it promises.
