Features

The AccuTrigger system lets the shooter dial in pull weight while the safety system remains independent. The synthetic stock keeps weight manageable. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts, so adding optics is straightforward.

Use

At under seven pounds, the Model 25 carries well across open ground where varmint hunting happens. The .222 Rem chambering gives a flat trajectory with light recoil, which suits newer shooters as well as experienced hunters running multiple shots at prairie dogs or coyotes. It covers target shooting at the range with the same setup.

The Savage 25 Varminter in .222 Rem draws consistent positive feedback for accuracy, especially the combination of the .222 Rem cartridge and the AccuTrigger system, which produces tight groupings across varied distances.

The AccuTrigger is a recurring highlight. Shooters appreciate the adjustable pull and the clean break it delivers, both for hunting and range work.

Build quality comes up positively as well. The rifle feels solid without being excessive in weight, and the design works for field use and target shooting. Ergonomics get mixed responses; most find it comfortable, though some suggest the stock fit could be better for different body types.

The versatility for applications beyond varmint hunting (small game, target work) adds to its appeal across different shooter categories. Price is generally considered fair given the performance. Customer service experience varies among owners.
