The user-adjustable AccuTrigger is the main practical advantage over fixed-trigger alternatives at this price. Dialing in your preferred pull weight is straightforward and does improve shot consistency.
The 18-inch barrel and short overall length make this one of the more compact Axis 2 configurations. .350 Legend produces low recoil, so the lighter 6.1-lb. frame doesn't punish the shooter. The drilled and tapped receiver accepts standard scope bases, and integral swivel studs are already in place for a sling.
Target Audience
Hunters in states with straight-wall cartridge requirements are the natural fit here. The light weight and mild recoil also make it approachable for new shooters and younger hunters. Anyone shopping for an affordable .350 Legend bolt-action that ships ready for an optic should find it a straightforward choice.
Usage Scenarios
- Hunting: .350 Legend is effective on deer-class game and is legal in many states that restrict deer hunting to straight-wall cartridges.
- Sport Shooting: The AccuTrigger helps with accuracy at the range, and the light weight makes it easy to handle through extended sessions.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
This is not a super smooth bold action okay it's okay it works pretty good works fine for the purpose deer hunting is not a volume of fire sport.
The only thing I change about this gun is whenever you rack it in the scope kind of get in the way and I really do not like the scope cover for it either that broke pretty instantly.
The trigger itself is adjustable and doesn't come out too bad from the factory.
350 doesn't dump you too much it's pretty soft shooting cartridge so kids younger shooters shorter statured shooters all that sort of thing it's a really good advantage.
Safety's up here on the tang forward is off back is on so it doesn't matter if you're right or left-handed it's very easy to access with your shooting hand thumb.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The Savage Axis 2 .350 Legend in matte black with a gray synthetic stock is generally well received. Buyers appreciate the price point and note the rifle delivers solid accuracy for hunting use. The matte black finish reduces glare in the field, and the AccuTrigger, while some wish it were crisper, is acknowledged as better than average for a rifle in this tier.
The gray synthetic stock gets mixed but mostly positive reviews. It's practical and weather resistant; a minority of users describe it as feeling somewhat basic, though that's largely expected at this price.
Trigger feel is the most common point of debate. Most find it acceptable; shooters accustomed to aftermarket triggers tend to note it as an area for eventual upgrade. Maintenance and general operation get consistent praise. The rifle is described as easy to clean and straightforward to run, which matters for newer hunters.
Overall the rifle is viewed positively as an affordable, functional .350 Legend platform. Most buyers recommend it with the standard caveat that upgrading the optic makes a bigger difference than any other single change.
