Owners of the Axis 2 XP describe it as a solid varmint and predator rifle for the price, with people who choose 22-250 Rem for coyote and prairie dog work often praising the flat trajectory more than the rifle itself. The AccuTrigger draws consistent praise for letting shooters dial the pull down from the factory setting.

The included scope is a point of debate. Some owners keep it as a serviceable starter optic and are happy not to shop for glass separately, while others plan to swap it for something clearer once budget allows. The gray synthetic stock and threaded barrel get positive mentions from people who want to add a brake for follow-up shots on varmints.

Value is where the Axis 2 XP earns its reputation. Buyers see the rifle-plus-scope package as a way to get into the field without buying components separately, and most treat the Axis 2 as a rifle to actually hunt with rather than collect.
