• The AccuTrigger is user-adjustable, with a pull weight range of 2.5 to 6 pounds.
• The receiver is drilled and tapped and built from carbon steel, with a two-position safety.
• The stock has an adjustable length of pull and a rubber recoil pad.

Owners of the Axis 2 XP generally view it as a dependable, no-frills hunting rifle that comes ready to use out of the box. The bolt cycles smoothly and the factory-mounted scope holds zero well for most buyers, though a few note the stock feels plain next to Savage's higher-end lines.

In the field, the green stock and adjustable length of pull make it easy to get a consistent cheek weld, and hunters like having a two-position safety for quiet operation in a blind or stand. The threaded barrel is a common reason buyers choose the Axis 2 XP over other budget rifles, since it lets them add a suppressor without extra gunsmithing.

Most owners see the Axis 2 XP as good value for a package rifle, since the scope is already mounted and sighted in. The AccuTrigger draws consistent praise for breaking cleaner than expected at this price. A handful of buyers still swap the factory optic or stock as their first upgrade.
