It ships with a factory-mounted 3-9x40 scope and no iron sights, giving left-handed shooters a ready-to-use setup out of the box. Owners of the Axis XP generally treat it as a budget hunting rifle rather than a showpiece, and most feedback reflects that mindset. The synthetic stock and matte finish hold up fine in the field, though a few owners note the factory trigger feels heavier than they would like out of the box.

Left-handed shooters in particular point to the Axis XP as one of the few affordable bolt guns built specifically for them instead of adapted from a right-hand pattern. The factory-mounted scope is convenient for new shooters, though some prefer to swap it for glass of their own choosing once budget allows.

On value, the consensus is that the Axis XP gives acceptable accuracy for the price and responds well to aftermarket stocks and triggers if an owner wants to upgrade later. It is not viewed as a premium rifle, but as a solid entry point for hunters who need a dependable .243 Win bolt gun.
