Owners of the Encore platform generally like the simplicity of a break-action single-shot: fewer parts to clean, and a trigger group most describe as crisp for a break-open gun. The Encore Pro Hunter Turkey specifically gets praise for pointing well from a seated or blind setup, which matters more for turkey hunting than fast follow-up shots.

The FlexTech stock is aimed at cutting felt recoil, and most owners say it does its job on 410 Gauge loads, though a single-shot gun always means a pause to reload between shots. The Mossy Oak Bottomland finish holds up to field use, and hunters like that it blends in well from a ground blind.

The biggest draw of the Encore platform is that the barrel is interchangeable with other Encore setups, so owners who already have a receiver can add this turkey barrel rather than buying a whole new gun. That flexibility is the main reason people cite for choosing Encore over a dedicated single-purpose shotgun.
