The 28 Gauge over/under class, which the TR Imports Light Super 28 sits in, appeals to owners who want a lighter-swinging double without giving up the feel of a genuine field gun. People who spend long days afield or a full round of clays often comment on how much less fatiguing the 28 Gauge is to carry and mount compared to a larger-gauge double.

All-steel construction gets mentioned as a plus for durability, with owners describing the action as solid rather than loose out of the box. The selective safety is generally viewed as intuitive. Some buyers new to 28 Gauge note that ammunition selection is narrower than for the more common gauges, which is a consideration more than a complaint about the gun itself.

On value, a steel-built 28 Gauge over/under at this price draws comparisons to costlier competitors, and owners who prioritize a lighter-swinging double over a name-brand badge tend to be satisfied. Those who want the last word in fit and finish still gravitate toward more established gauge-specific double guns.
