Owners of the Mark V DGR often point to the action's smoothness and the rifle's fit and finish as standing out among dangerous-game bolt guns, and the Graphite Black Cerakote gets credit for holding up to field wear. A few mention that a rifle built around a cartridge this large still needs occasional attention to stock bedding.

In the field, the raised-comb stock and Accubrake muzzle brake are what most owners talk about, since a .378 Weatherby Mag load without a brake would be tough for most shooters to manage comfortably. Some still find the recoil impulse sharp even with the brake and say the rifle rewards a deliberate follow-through over fast repeat shots.

Value opinions split along expected lines. Hunters headed after dangerous game see the combination of the Mark V action, TriggerTech trigger, and a heavy-caliber chambering as justified for a specialty rifle, while others feel the price sits well above a general-purpose bolt gun for what is a narrow use case.
