Detailed Features
The automatic ejectors kick out spent shells when you break the action open, which speeds up reloading compared to extractors that only push shells partway out. The ventilated top rib helps dissipate heat and provides a flat sighting plane. Three interchangeable chokes are included (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder). The Prince of Wales grip is a partial pistol grip with a rounded cap, a traditional style associated with British field guns. The satin walnut finish is lower maintenance than a high-gloss stock and resists fingerprints in the field.
Usage
At 7 lbs with a 28-inch barrel, the Orion 1 is well-balanced for upland birds and clay target work. The traditional styling and walnut stock position it as a field gun that looks the part, and the automatic ejectors make it faster to reload than many entry-level over/unders.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
I think this is much more a fuel gun than it is a sporting gun.
Honestly it doesn't excite me when i buy an over under i like to be a little excited like oh this is this is fancy this is not a fancy gun this is kind of a plain field gun.
Somewhere in that vicinity a little heavier than i would prefer to see.
It actually didn't feel too bad as far as recoil i took it primarily back to my shoulder really didn't take a lot into the face but i did notice my muzzle jumped a lot.
Overall i think it's a really nice quality gun for the money.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
Owners consistently comment on the Orion 1's build quality and balance. The walnut stock and satin finish are well-regarded for the price point, and the action is described as smooth and reliable across shooting conditions.
The balance between the barrel length and receiver weight is frequently mentioned as a positive for handling during extended sessions.
The main friction points are weight for some shooters who prefer lighter guns, and price relative to competing over/unders in the same tier. Most owners find the aftermarket accessory options limited compared to more popular platforms. A break-in period before the action reaches its smoothest operation is occasionally noted.
