The Winchester XPR in .308 Win is a bolt-action rifle with a TrueTimber Midnight camo finish. It carries a solid feature set for a factory rifle at this price point. Threaded barrel, M.O.A. trigger, and a good recoil pad are all included standard.
The M.O.A. Trigger System has a crisp, clean pull that improves shot consistency without needing an aftermarket swap. The threaded barrel (9/16x24) accepts suppressors and muzzle devices directly. The muzzle brake is already installed and noticeably reduces felt recoil for a .308. The Inflex Technology Recoil Pad handles the rest, keeping follow-up shots quick and comfortable.
The TrueTimber Midnight Camo finish holds up in field conditions and blends well in mixed terrain. The receiver is drilled and tapped, so mounting a scope is straightforward.
Works for intermediate and experienced shooters who want a hunting or range rifle with quality fundamentals out of the box. The .308 Win caliber, barrel length, and weight make it a practical general-purpose choice for deer-sized game and mid-range target work. Novice shooters who are serious about developing bolt-gun skills will find it manageable.
Hunting is the primary use case. The camo finish and .308 Win performance cover most big game situations in North America. At a competitive range, the trigger and barrel accuracy hold their own. The .308 Win caliber also gives the rifle some flexibility for defensive use if needed.
I think it's the Achilles heel of this gun.
It's pretty soft rubber does a good job mitigating felt recoil in my opinion.
Every serious shooter I know wants to shoot lighter than three pounds.
It will impact accuracy. I feel like it's impacting my accuracy when I shoot.
The other complaint I have is this grip and the especially the cap here in the back. It has that seam there.

The Winchester XPR Midnight .308 Win gets generally positive reviews, with a few recurring criticisms worth knowing.
Build quality and durability are frequently praised. The camo finish looks good and holds up in field conditions. The bolt runs smoothly and the rifle is accurate from the box. Users typically don't feel a need to swap the trigger immediately, which is a decent indicator for a factory gun.
The adjustable trigger gets specific positive mentions. Shooters appreciate being able to dial it in rather than living with a fixed pull weight.
Weight is the most common complaint. At 6.75 lbs unscoped, some hunters find it heavier than expected for a bolt-action .308 when carrying over long distances. The stock material also draws occasional criticism. A few users feel the ergonomics could be better shaped for extended carry or prone shooting.
Value for money comes up consistently in a positive way. The XPR is frequently compared to pricier rifles in its class and comes out ahead on features per dollar. Versatility is noted too. While it's marketed as a hunting rifle, users discuss it working well for target shooting.
