This Cascade SR configuration is built as a short, threaded .308 Winchester bolt gun for shooters who want an optics-ready, suppressor-ready rifle in a compact package.

The Cascade line has earned CVA a following among hunters looking for a bolt-action that outperforms its price, and the Cascade SR variant in .308 Winchester draws similar comments. Owners generally describe the action as smooth for the price point and the adjustable trigger as a real advantage over other budget bolt guns.

The shorter 16.5-inch threaded barrel is popular with owners who want to run a suppressor without an overly long rifle, and the two-position safety and detachable magazine get positive marks for simple field use. Some owners mention the synthetic stock feels less substantial than a wood or laminate stock, though it holds up well outdoors and keeps the overall weight down.

On value, the Cascade SR .308 is often picked as an affordable way into a threaded, optics-ready bolt-action rifle, and owners comparing it to pricier competitors tend to feel they got a lot of rifle for the money. The Picatinny rail and no-sights setup mean most buyers add their own optic, which owners planning a suppressor and scope combo see as expected rather than a shortcoming.
