Owners of the Hi-Point 4595P note that a .45 ACP pistol carbine at this price has few direct competitors, and that alone drives most of the interest. The platform feeds reliably with standard pressure ball ammo, and the long sight radius on the 14.25-inch barrel helps with practical accuracy at close to medium distances.

The polymer receiver and basic controls are functional but feel utilitarian. The fiber optic front sight is a genuine improvement over the standard bead, and the Picatinny rails give room to add a light or red dot without extra cost. The brace-ready design is appreciated even when the brace is purchased separately.

Complaints center on the trigger weight, which is heavy and mushy, and the overall bulk of the gun for a pistol-classified firearm. Hi-Point's warranty service is consistently praised as responsive. The 4595P earns its place as a range option or home defense tool for budget-conscious buyers who want a .45 ACP long-gun format.
