Owners of the Axis 2 in 350 Legend generally like that Savage carried the AccuTrigger down to this budget line, since it makes a real difference in how the rifle breaks compared to the older Axis. The action itself is described as smooth and reliable once it wears in, with feeding from the detachable magazine holding up well.

The redesigned stock with the pistol grip and palm swells gets praise for handling better than the plain stock on the original Axis, and the rubber recoil pad helps make the 350 Legend chambering comfortable through a range session. A few owners still wish the stock felt less hollow when tapped, but most call it a clear step up.

On value, buyers see the Axis 2 as a solid budget rifle for the caliber, especially with a drilled-and-tapped receiver ready for glass right away. The typical complaint is that iron sights are not included, so the cost of a scope has to be factored in separately.
