The Savage Arms Axis 2 XP in .308 Win is a bolt-action rifle built around a user-adjustable AccuTrigger, a 22" matte black barrel, and a green synthetic stock. It ships with a 3-9x40 scope already mounted, which gets most hunters to the range without an extra trip to an optics shop.
The AccuTrigger is the headline feature here. It lets you set pull weight without a gunsmith, and delivers a clean break without excessive creep or overtravel, a real advantage for precision work. The matte black finish on the metal and the green synthetic stock handle weather without issue and don't require much upkeep.
The 22" barrel gives .308 Win the room to develop good velocity, and the 1-in-10" twist is appropriate for the full range of .308 bullet weights commonly used for hunting and target work. At 42.5" overall and 7.7 lbs., it's straightforward to carry but gives you a stable shooting platform. Integral swivel studs are ready for a sling or bipod.
The .308 Win caliber covers hunting from deer to elk at reasonable ranges, and does double duty at the range for target shooting. The adjustable trigger makes precision shooting more accessible without modifications. First-time hunters and experienced shooters both get a usable package out of the box.
As far as recoil you don't really feel too much recoil I mean The Recoil is great obviously this is a little bit heavier of a rifle.
The accuracy of this I mean you're not going to be displeased with this um and a little bit of time and practice I mean you're going to be able to improve quite a bit.

The Axis 2 XP in .308 Win gets consistent positive marks for value. Buyers point to the AccuTrigger and bundled scope as what makes this rifle competitive at its price, getting both together without upgrading the trigger or optics separately is a practical advantage.
Accuracy is a common positive. The AccuTrigger's adjustable pull produces a crisp break, and users report good groups at typical hunting and target distances. The .308 caliber's versatility (deer, larger game, target shooting) gives the rifle broad appeal.
The included scope is fine for beginners and general hunting but not built for long-range precision or low-light conditions. More experienced shooters tend to swap it out. Weight at 7.7 lbs. is manageable for most, though some prefer lighter options for all-day carry.
Overall, it's regarded as a solid entry-level .308 that punches above its price point. The combination of AccuTrigger, bundled scope, and .308 versatility makes it a practical pick for hunters and newer shooters alike.
