The Uberti Whitneyville Dragoon is a black-powder percussion revolver in .44 caliber, a reproduction of the Colt Whitneyville Dragoon. It does not fire cartridges: each of its 6 chambers is loaded from the front with loose powder and a lead ball, and fired by a percussion cap on a nipple at the rear of the cylinder. Like the original, it is a single action, so the hammer is cocked by hand before every shot.
What arrived are the rectangles rectangular cylinder stops which is identical to the second model.
I definitely don't want to keep what essentially is the same revolver as what i already have which is a second model.

Feedback on the Uberti Whitneyville Dragoon centers heavily on the engraving and finish. Collectors and cowboy-action shooters consistently call out the aesthetic quality as a strong point, and most agree Uberti's attention to detail on the cylinder is genuine rather than superficial.
Shooting performance is generally well-regarded. Owners report solid accuracy at the range and no consistent reliability issues.
Value relative to original antiques or higher-end reproductions is a recurring discussion point. Most feel it delivers good quality for the price as a reproduction. The one friction point that appears repeatedly is parts and maintenance: sourcing specific components is harder than for more common platforms, which frustrates owners who need to service or repair the piece.
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
