The Axis 2 line improved on the original Axis mainly through the trigger and stock, and owners of the 6.5 Creedmoor version tend to notice that first. The adjustable trigger is usually rated as a real step up, and the action itself is reported as smooth and reliable for a budget bolt gun.

Ergonomically, the adjustable length of pull and the OD green synthetic stock get generally positive comments, especially from shooters who found the original Axis stock too plain. The factory-mounted scope means less setup before a hunt, though a handful of owners eventually swap it for their own glass.

Value-wise, the Axis 2 XP in 6.5 Creedmoor is often picked as an entry point into that caliber without paying for a premium action. Aftermarket support for stocks and triggers is decent given how common the Axis platform has become, though some shooters still treat it as a rifle to build on rather than a finished product.
